This is a disbanded team. This was once an available team, but now has been removed. |

Vielle Fan Club, or [VFC], was a team created by Tyrant on May 5, 2018, during Season 13. The team, while purely a meme/joke at first, had the support of the Discord community and was supported by recruiting measures by Tyrant which would result in the team's presence in the top 25, just days after it was formed. The team would later go on to compete in Season 14 for just two days before its forced disbanding by Nitro admins themselves. The team's history has shaped community members' perspectives on Nitro Type's integrity in seasons as a whole, surpassing the debate and recognition even more than Season 1 did, however with universal demonstrations.
Members[]
Tyrant was the captain.
Its officers had included: 3Crossz, PrimalKnight, M0L0T0V, SectWonSeason1 (Vielle), and Miles.
Chronology[]
On May 5, 2018, Tyrant created the team mostly as a joke. However, it quickly gained traction through a Nitro Type Discord announcement, eventually resulting in Tyrant pushing for a calculated initiative with the aim of the team taking top 10, a feat that was almost unanimously seen as being impossible given that there were just 3-4 days left in the season. This resulted in a four-day rush that eventually saw the team take 10th place, ultimately finishing with a 37,584-point lead above the 11th place team, ESC. This was largely due to Vielle's 240,000-point, 36-hour session (the account Vielle used for the session was given away to Atomic per a giveaway, traded away, and then later banned). By random chance, VFC also won the Season 13 highlight that the team qualified for by virtue of being top 10.
The team was set for top 3 in Season 14 (having consistently maintaining 3 in the last days of Season 13), and their top 3 position was made more probable with Wildflower joining two days before the season. VFC was aided by 3Crossz, joining the day after Season 13, where he gained news traction with the popular motto "@Viva La Revolution!" at the end of his news comments. The team's commanding tone on the leaderboards and news had set the stage for what was the most divisively anticipated season since Season 1, a season mired in intense controversy, re-igniting a debate over the legitimacy of Season 1.
With the beginning of Season 14, VFC had opened up a nailbiter lead being the first team to reach 200 races, having done so in 27 minutes into the beginning of the season. They continued to hold first place, with a very slight edge over SSH. However, on May 24, 2018 at 6:03 PM EST, the team was forcefully removed at the behest of Corndog. The very abrupt disbanding of the team prompted many of the team's members to frantically message TheRedBaron, the community manager at the time, to which he responded that it was not his decision. This was not considered a good explanation by the majority of the community, and was in direct contradiction to TheRedBaron's guarantees that VFC would not receive the same treatment as SECT when asked by the team's leaders if it was was safe to proceed with VFC prior to the Season. However, it is possible that Corndog did not approve of it in the first place, leaving Baron in an impossible position. Because of this, the team would never get its rightfully deserved team highlight News post.
The removal of VFC resulted in many Nitro Type news comments being censored, with multiple people's posts being deleted and accounts being news banned, as well as multiple top teams and players expressing their disagreement on the matter. One example includes SSH, which commemorated VFC by changing its name to "Remember VFCS14", but later changed it to "Remember S14" after being told by TheRedBaron that the team could suffer the same fate if the name had not been changed.
Had the season continued on, VFC would have been on track for a competitive season against SSH due to its powerful roster, concentration of top players, and recruitment pool options. Attempts to re-band the team were further more stymied by the aforementioned mass censorship, as well as the lack of compensation, communication, or alternative offered by TheRedBaron.
After the season, the three leaders of the team pledged to never join another team in remembrance of Nitro Type's actions, however they all ended up eventually joining other teams regardless.
Team Interview[]
Even though the team's interview was never featured in a news post, Below are Tyrant's answers to the interview questions.
What got you started with Nitro Type?
- My typing class in 2014, I was already a fast typist on typing.com and I was competitive and saw nitrotype on there in the games section.
What does Nitro Type mean to you?
- NitroType as it is right now is mostly a connection to my friends and team-mates.
What's your favorite word?
- Scientists
What inspired you to create [VFC]?
- LOL, Honestly VFC was a joke team, and I had a random idea to make it competitive and rush for top 10, but other than that, just Vielle, he's a pretty nice guy and has a mindset I can get behind.
What is the most difficult part of managing a team?
- I'd say for me personally: It has to be keeping the team in a good spirit, but my officers are really helpful with that so, my team kinda balances out
What's the 1 piece of advice you would give other captains who want to get their teams into the top 10?
- Stay Active, Make it clear that your goal is to become a top 10 team, Invite everyone you can, Don't rush the minimums
If you could improve 1 thing about NT, what would it be?
- Definitely it's community aspect, news is nice and all but having a form of communication (Such as a discord that's moderated by a team of users to be more kid friendly) and a way to build more friendships on the site would be nice (and for the discord, I recommend the unofficial NT discord that you're in, the mods and admins could reshape the rules to be more kid friendly and start enforcing that if needed)
If so, how has NT played into your education? What have you learned?
- (Honestly, it really hasn't, I've always typed pretty fast since joining NT, and most of my improvement was off-site, I'm also online-schooled now, so it's not like I'm the fastest typist in my class, although I'm sure I would be)
Any words for your team?
- Thanks everyone on VFC for making the top 10 rush come true last season, you guys are all amazing!
Any words for the NT community?
- And thanks to the NT Community for all of the support and feedback you've given us! I hope next season is a fun one!
Methods of communication[]
The team mainly communicated via the Nitro Type Discord server.
Trivia[]
- The team consistently averaged 100 WPM (excluding Wildflower) during its tenure, making it one of the only competitive seasons teams to ever have a weighted team average of 100 WPM.
- VFC was disbanded by Corndog on May 24, 2018, on the premise of using Vielle's username in the team tag. Vielle was a banned user who the admins had a grudge against, however, his main account has since been unbanned.
- It is the first team to have been forcefully disbanded while in first place for a season.
- The team, despite winning the random drawing, never got their team interview featured in a news post.
