Doing large amounts of races in one sitting is referred to as "sessioning".
A session is the number of races or games one does without stopping. After 30 minutes without a race or game, a logout warning will appear on the screen and ask if the player is active. Eventually, after a few more minutes of inactivity, they will be logged out from the corresponding site and their session will reset.
Sessions do not carry over between Nitro Type and Nitro Math. In other words, it is not possible to play games to preserve session races, or vice versa.
Incentives[]
After 10 session races or games, one can earn 10 times however many races or games that have been done in cash and XP as a bonus. For example, if a player has done 15 session races, they will earn an additional $150 and 150 XP. The maximum session cash bonus is $1,000 and the maximum session XP bonus is 250 XP.
In addition to bonus cash for completing sessions, there are many session achievements that are associated with completing a certain number of session races. These are listed below.
Prior to May 7, 2020, there was a Hall of Fame category for the longest session.
Trivia[]
- The car that can be earned for completing 100 races in a session was changed from the General Beauregard to the Liberty Ponce de Leon on May 31, 2018. The General Beauregard can no longer be found in the bootstrap.
- After Season 25, sessions were no longer incorporated into the achievements used for them, leading to no more new session achievements being released.
- On December 30, 2020, Nitro Type added a feature where if a player did 50 races in a session and was about to start their 51st race, a pop-up would appear to verify that the player wasn’t abusing software to race for them. This pop-up would also appear every 50 races or so after the initial pop-up. Currently, there is no such pop-up for Nitro Math.
