- The season started 1 hour earlier than expected (at 11 am EST). However, when the season started, the season page showed the message "Oops! There was a problem grabbing the season. Please try again later!", which lasted around 10 minutes.
- This was the first season to include rewards based on XP instead of quantity of races.
