Nitro Type Stars, otherwise known as [NTS], was a team that was created by Samsher on June 13, 2014. Previously, NTS was a clan also led by Samsher. Although no longer active, the team had a very long history during its tenure.

When the team was still intact, the only officer was SafetyCar; however, there have been many other officers throughout the years.

History[]
The Clan Era (April-June 2014)[]
NTS as a clan was first created in April 2014 by Samsher, back when the official forums were still up. Many original members joined during this period, including Nitrotype337, Ben_Boy, InfinitySpeed, and Knight. During the clan era, NTS gained some members, but SBD was still considered the most dominant and elite clan by far. When the forums shut down in May due to attacks, most NTS members kept the tag in their name and vowed to stay loyal.
Early Team Era (June-August 2014)[]
During this era, teams could keep 200 members on their rosters. NTS, therefore, faced stiff competition from the largest teams at the time, including the dominant DFT and NTA, and also from the powerhouse of SBD. NTS slowly began to gain members, such as PhilliesMagic, who disbanded his highly successful 200 member team 31L, while SBD's recruiting slowed. DFT's leader, YouNeverFightMyType, also essentially stopped racing from his high activity levels earlier.
Middle Team Era (September 2014-February 2015)[]
The reduction of team sizes to 50 members gave rise to NTS. The days of member hoarding were over. SBD's members slowly became inactive with the coming of school and were distracted by other games. NTS had worked its way up to #1 on the all-time scoreboards with over 103,000 races and was consistently in the top 3 on all activity scoreboards. The team also had an impressive all-time average of over 90 wpm, which only kept increasing. It was widely considered the most elite team in all of Nitro Type, and overthrew DFT and built up a lead on the former kings of the scoreboard.
Late Team Era (March 2015-February 2020)[]
In 2015, NTS began to see a decline in activity. NTA passed them on the all time activity scoreboards and newer teams such as DOG and STPR began their prominence. The team is no longer active and has never placed in the top 70 of any season.
Around late February 2020, the team was auto-disbanded due to the captain's inactivity. Samsher has re-created the team at least once since that point, with him having ownership of it in August 2021. The team is currently up with the same tag and name under new ownership.
