Originally formed (and then merged with NTM and ATL) by Jacob Weisman in early 2013, Nightmare restarted NTF on November 29, 2013. It eventually merged with SOL to form COL. 9 days later COL broke apart and split into various other teams, most notable being NTF, SBD, and NTS which is regarded as the "big three" in terms of elite clans. NTF was highly regarded as the second coming of NTM having many famous NTM members such as XxShiftTheProxX, Roberto, J3whets, and NeedsMedicine as well as some other prominent racers such as NTM's biggest rival Nightmare.
NTF was also allied with THT after the declaration of allianceship between the leaders of the two teams within less than a minute on the news.

- The clan started out with no requirements, and anyone could join. With the additions of Tachyon and Damon5 (two active and fast racers), the clan grew more and more popular and attracted more members. To decrease the overly sized clan, a level 70 requirement was put on so more experienced players would join.
- The requirements for the clan were raised to level 100 and 60 WPM.
