The news is a blog that is maintained by Nitro admins, who write news posts. News posts usually include information on seasons and product updates.

On April 5, 2018, TheRedBaron started hosting monthly interviews with a random top 10 team every season. However, this stopped in July 2018 once he was fired.

Currently, the sitemap only shows the last 20 news posts. However, if the user reloads the page three times in a row, they will be able to see all of the news posts on the sitemap.

News comments

News comments were a feature of the news that allowed players to comment on the latest news post. Players could only post once every 20 minutes and the comments were moderated by news moderators.

Several changes involving news comments took place during 2019. On March 18, 2019, the ability to post comments was restricted to Gold members only. On August 8, 2019, the cooldown between posting comments was changed from 20 minutes to 8 hours. On August 12, 2019, the ability to post comments on news posts was removed entirely to favor schools. On August 13, 2019, all news comments were deleted, making it impossible to view comments from past posts.
