The Battle of the Genders, or BotG, was a community-run competition held from late 2014 to early 2015 and consisted of people signing up for either the male or female team. Each team had a tag that participants would put in their names, [M] for males, and [FM] for females. Anyone could sign up for any side, due to the imbalance between the genders. The team that had the most races would win. Requirements included being at least level 50 and having an average of 100 WPM. This was put together and run by melikepi and Beyz.co (Now Syza). Many people considered this competition to be the main influence for the Nitro Type Olympics.
Outcome[]
Because there were so many males participating, making the competition a landslide, some transferred to represent the females. It ended up with the female side becoming victorious, which spawned many rematches (Battle of the Genders 2, 3, and 4.); however, they were not as popular as the earlier ones (the 1st and 2nd were very popular, but the 3rd and 4th were not).
