The 2018 Back 2 School Event was the first Back 2 School event. It was first announced on July 27, 2018, started on September 14, 2018, and ended on October 10, 2018.

- 7/27/2018: A news post is created wrapping up the summer event and hinting to the Back 2 School Event. [1]
- 8/6/2018: TheRedBaron asks for suggestions for the event.
- 8/10/2018: TheRedBaron confirms that the event will happen.
- 8/28/2018: Travis leaks one of the cars on Discord.
- 9/6/2018: The leaderboard is updated to show the start and end dates of the event and the upcoming season.
- 9/10/2018: Travis leaks the top banner logo for the event.

- This was the first Back 2 School Event.
- Travis confirmed that this event will be yearly. However, this event has only happened once since in 2019 due to seasons replacing events.
- This event theme has been used in two other seasons, 35 and 41, but did not occur in 2020.
