The 2013 Summer Event was the first annual summer event. It was first announced on May 31, 2013, started on June 7, 2013 and ended on August 7, 2013.

'13 Summer Classic - $10,000! Go buy it!
To get started, head to the dealership and purchase the '13 Summer Classic, your first new Summer Event car for only $10,000. Then, race race race! To get the Summer Event achievements and cash/experience bonuses you must be using one of the summer event cars, so be sure to use the '13 Summer Classic or other summer cars the entire time.

And although the actual season of Summer goes all the way until September 21st, this event will not. You only have until the end of July before the event ends!
'41 Woodie Deluxx - Check the Achievements page!
And just to keep things interesting, I'll be adding new achievements randomly throughout the event, and watch out for achievements like "BBQs Every Day", which end on a specific day... That's right, you can only earn that Summer car if you complete the achievement by the expiration! After that, a new version of the car will be added. Can you collect all of them?? - 5/31/13: Corndog comments about his planned release of a summer event, similar to the holiday event, but summer-themed.
- 6/7/13: The event begins.
- 6/12/13: The Liberty Classic gets renamed to '13 Summer Classic.
- 6/15/13: The Liberty '41 Woodie Deluxx's expiration date is extended to June 23rd, and the event is extended one more week.
- 6/16/13: The Liberty '41 Woodie Sunshine is released, achievable by using 1,500 nitros with an event car and owning the Hang Ten.
- 6/23/13: The Liberty '41 Woodie Deluxx expires.
- 7/1/13: The Liberty '41 Woodie Sunshine expires.
- 7/3/13: The Liberty '68 Roadtripper is released, achievable by doing 150 races in a session. Its release was announced in a news post.
- 7/24/13: The Hang Fifteen is released, achievable by using 2,000 nitros. Its release was announced in a news post.
- 7/25/13: The Liberty '68 Roadtripper expires.
- 8/7/13: The event ends.

- Out of all Nitro Type's seasons and events, this event had the lowest amount of participants ever.
- Because of the aforementioned, this event is responsible for the majority of Nitro Type's rarest vehicles in the entire game, as 2 cars in this event alone were only obtained by less than 100 players, although these were all timed exclusives that could only be obtained during 2-3 week periods.
